Microsoft partners with Shopify to help merchants
Recently, Microsoft announced a new partnership with Shopify that will allow merchants on the eCommerce platform to easily engage more customers via its updated Microsoft Channel app.
Merchants in the US and Canada can now use the updated app to push product advertisements to both the Microsoft Search Network and Microsoft Audience Network. Products are then automatically eligible to display in both the Microsoft Bing Shopping tab and the Microsoft Start Shopping tab free as Product Listings.
“To significantly expand the reach of their brands and products across Microsoft Search Network and Microsoft Audience Network, merchants can create new ad campaigns and view their marketing performance through real-time reports in their Shopify store,” the announcement from Microsoft reads.
Additionally, Microsoft will soon roll out a “Buy now” button on product advertisements and listings to, “help consumers quickly bridge the gap from discovery to purchase.” After clicking the “Buy now” button on ads and listings, customers will be sent directly to the shopping cart page to complete the purchase.
The Shopify integration with the updated Microsoft Channel app can help eCommerce merchants find more visibility online, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
This is not the only integration unveiled by Microsoft and Shopify in recent weeks. Previously, Shopify announced that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be part of its newly launched Global ERP Program for enterprise merchants.
